Seek the Lord

Jeremiah 29:  11-13

 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.   You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart.

and

Acts 17:27

that they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

1st Chronicles 16:11 

Seek Yahweh and his strength. Seek his face forever more.

Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who did understand, who did seek after God.

The land is yet before us, because we have sought Yahweh our God; we have sought him, and he has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

2nd Chronicles 17:3-6

Yahweh was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and didn’t seek the Baals, but sought to the God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel. Therefore Yahweh established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat tribute; and he had riches and honor in abundance. His heart was lifted up in the ways of Yahweh: and furthermore he took away the high places and the Asherim out of Judah.

Jehoshaphat was alarmed, and set himself to seek to Yahweh. He proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. Judah gathered themselves together, to seek help from Yahweh. They came out of all the cities of Judah to seek Yahweh.

Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek of him a straight way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance. For I was ashamed to ask of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way, because we had spoken to the king, saying, “The hand of our God is on all those who seek him, for good; but his power and his wrath is against all those who forsake him.” So we fasted and begged our God for this: and he was entreated of us.

Psalm 34:8-10

O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! O fear the LORD, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no want. The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; But they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing.

Psalm 105:3

Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad.

 

He repeatedly tells us to seek Him.
